I have mixed feelings about it.  Some of it was enjoyable, and some of it not so much.

I think we need a slideshow on the least needed reboots. I’ve read about so many lately that AJLT might not even make the top 25 or 50.

They already brought in additional characters to deal with the diversity issue. Che went over like a lead balloon, but Carrie’s friend Seema was supposed to be somewhat Samantha-esque.  I don’t think it would have helped matters if we got a new Samantha like a new Darren from Bewitched.

I think the problem is when the show is kind of wavering in the middle - there are still occasional good moments, but it’s a major step down from where it used to be. I remember watching Trapper John, M.D. back in the day, but I can’t remember much about it or the character’s personality being particularly like the MASH character. Maybe it just helped that the character’s name was recognizable in the days when we had 3 networks to choose from.  I can’t imagine any TV exec today…

Not eating meat makes one a vegetarian or pescatarian, not necessarily a vegan.

I don’t think I’d watch a sitcom that was 100% about dating. Even Sex and the City had storylines about jobs and friendships.
