I liked the show somewhat, and I thought it was great that she came out, but it did seem like her sexual orientation was the main focus of the show afterwards. Sometimes you just want a standard sitcom story line about parking spaces or spilled coffee or a fight with the boss. Lesbians have all those problems too.
My husband gets very aggravated if it’s on a channel where they edit it.
I was curious if anyone with a vagina really likes Rush. I guess you’re the one.
I was going to say, “Am I the only one who thought ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ was awful?” Glad I’m not. I’d rather watch Risky Business five times in a row than sit through that again. I though Magnolia didn’t live up to the hype either.
I’m not a big believer in the supernatural, so I guess that explains why I don’t know how dying people are picturing themselves in another realm or whatever.
Totally agree. In my defense, at least I don’t make my husband watch it.
Ordinary Joe got a lot of promotion and seemed to be aiming for jumps in time in a similar vein to This Is Us, but it got cancelled. I tried the first episode, but it didn’t do it for me.
I have looked forward to reading your recaps every Wednesday morning. Thanks for that.
How do you get a Daytime Emmy for something that is on a streaming platform? Couldn’t it be watched at any time of the day?
How small is that piece of cornbread?
A BMI of 30 or above is obese. 25-29.9 is overweight, per the CDC.
I’m sorry for your situation, but everyone grieves a loss differently.
Don’t claim that you previously worked at Vandelay Industries.
I think a lot of the lack of build-up is related to the big time jumps in the show. Phillip’s change from villain to loving boyfriend/spouse seemed to be more in “real time”, so that bugged me, but seems like Randall became a Senator and Kate was traveling years into the future. Kevin’s kids seemed a good 8-10 years…
Joni Mitchell’s The Circle Game was another perfect This Is Us musical moment. I was ready to cry from the first notes.
If you’re already in Manhattan, you can walk through Times Square without that much effort.
Ugh, so many things wrong with this comment. Not surprising that you don’t realize that Mandy Moore is not her character.
The end result pulled it together sufficiently, but the car accident/Marcus storyline had me trying to figure out if this was one of the Pearsons later in life or the next generation down from Deja and Malik in the semi-distant future or what.
Beth’s goodbye and Kate’s arrival were my biggest tear-jerkers. One part where Randall was crying got me too.
