I listened to Rocket Man at least 5,000 times and had no idea what those lyrics were until it was used in an ad with someone singing along with it. I don’t know anyone who got the Smells Like Teen Spirit chorus that wrong. I would have suggested a hearing test for anyone who thought it was hot potatoes.

I don’t know that your experience is universal.  I gave birth to two kids in this millennium and had zero contact with lactation consultants. Did your wife have a conversation with her OB about whether or not she planned to breastfeed?

I’ve had leftovers when my kid was having boxed mac and cheese. It’s not amazing the next day, but it’s edible. If I have something like roasted broccoli around, I’ll throw that in.

I would think the lack of interest would be more due to it involving a side character from a rather old show. I loved Daria back in the day, but it wasn’t that popular when it was on. I’m not sure the world is really clamoring for new Daria-related content.

I think the overwhelmed mother of two comment also references her character in Nurse Jackie.

Bette Midler posted as much on Twitter.  I would have thought she would have more sense than that.

I imagine Karen Carpenter pecked at small bits of food over the course of a day too.

I never watched it, because I didn’t want to ruin the memory of the original series. I suspect I made the right decision.

I have heard people saying that it got better later on, but I watched maybe the first two seasons of Parks & Rec and it always seemed like a poor man’s Office to me.

Steak + mozzarella = not a salad.

In the year 2300, Jack Pearson the Thirtieth becomes President of the United States.

I just re-watched the first episode, and it was still really good.  He will be missed in future seasons.

I don’t understand how you don’t realize that there things that other people like that you may not. I don’t know why people line up to watch mindless movies about superheros or horribly long things about hobbits, but I understand that some people have different taste than me.

Beth was definitely the MVP of this episode.  “Big Phil” gave me a chuckle.

After I had an excessive amount of hard boiled eggs from Easter, I did have egg salad on crackers for breakfast one day.  It worked.

I liked Last American Virgin a lot too, despite the Porky’s-esque aspects. I think its title didn’t help it.

I don’t think Spielberg’s confidence prevented him from winning the Oscar.  Gandhi was a serious movie about serious topics.  Even though E.T. was well reviewed, it was more of a kids’ movie.

He must have been a real hoot in law school with all the complaining about his overeducated female classmates.

I’d put my money on someone making at least one of the next generation of Pearsons. Adult Baby Jack and the girlfriend we saw previously?

I barely remember what I ate for dinner two days ago.  This is Us expecting me to remember plot lines from 3+ years ago is too much.
