Hits a 10 on DeMuro’s Cackle-o-meter

I dunno, I tried the Smart Straw, which dripped and leaked everywhere. I then tried to find a WD40 Classic Straw but couldn't :(

Looks like the truck was trying to hot-dog it past the Mustang on the left to teach him a lesson, got on it too hard and power-oversteered into it...

Sorry to hear that; is there any possibility it was towed?

GIF needs more crashes and swearing in Russian.

I would be all over this.

That’s terrible. We saw the smoke from my office a few miles away in the Meadowlands. At the time there were no reported injuries, but the live news video looked bad. RIP.

Ah, I’ll bet the flywheel had a lot to do with the rev matching. In the AP2, it seemed utterly intuitive. In the AP1, I would blip, and by the time the clutch engaged, the revs were all the way back down again.

Just got back from my first AP1 (2002) test drive... it’s hard to tell them apart in a regular test drive especially in the rain. Possibly the AP1 is noisier (not necessarily louder), steering feel and rev matching seemed better on the AP2, although that may have just been due to a different clutch engagement point.

I’m with you on the S2000. I went to test-drove one on a whim, and was hooked. Still looking for the right copy.

Definitely wins Most Jalop of the Week... I wouldn’t want to inherit all this, especially the rotary, for that price though :(

I find that I often get overwhelmed by simple things that should be easy. Case in point, when I had a beater 1992 Ford Tempo V6:

I have the iOttie, and I don’t know if it was just mine, but it has freakin’ doomsday-level adhesion on the suction cup gel. Had to take it off for a track day, it ripped the pad off my dash, and I had to pry it apart. Afraid I would break the articulating arm, because it was creaking with the strain.

I think I loved That Darn Cat most of all because it was so screwball. RIP.

That’s my favorite scene from the whole franchise!

And David Tomlinson! :(

My Mk1 Jetta had factory manual steering, but it was designed for that. I tried for a day or so with the Fit, and gave up, like most of the FitFreakers who had done the same.

I tried pulling the fuse on my Mk1 Honda Fit, but it just didn’t work right. Effort was too hard even in fast corners.

Came here to say this. Silverstone S2000 all the way.

Yeah... if you’re on a public road and can’t safely stop in time to avoid stationary obstructions, that is by definition too fast for the road.
