Hope feels like a million years ago.

America got a whole year-and-a-half to have a preview of how crazy this was going to be...and most of those who voted chose not to go along with it for shits-and-giggles.

MY THEORY: They’re going to age the Simpsons a few years. Put Bart in middle school, at least. Maggie in kindergarten or first grade (but still won’t talk). Mr Burns finally died and Homer has a new job, and Marge is working as well. There, 30 more years of stories. Fucking pay me, FOX.

I thought Simpsons would have enough music by now, had no idea they had an orchestra shoot every episode, sounds expensive and very very unnecessary.

Well, there’s no shame in going out on top. Unfortunately for Mr. Clausen, the top for The Simpsons happened sometime when Clinton was President.

We at the network want a composer with attitude. He’s edgy, he’s “in your face.” You’ve heard the expression “let’s get busy”? Well, this is a composer who gets “biz-zay!” Consistently and thoroughly.

um...doesn’t the show have like two seasons left?
I had a theory that Rupert Murdoch, as old as useless as he is, is the final word on all business negotiations that pass through FOX, no matter how small they are.

The only thing thats gonna kill this show is the amount of money needed to keep it running... one would say “don’t bite the hand that feeds you”.

Well, if there’s one thing that those of us who feel The Simpsons have declined in quality can all agree on, the fault was clearly in the music.

I can’t wait until The Simpsons gets into Muppet territory and we get not quite right Homer and a little off Lisa.

It’s one of those things where all signs are pointing to letting the show mercifully end and FOX staunchly refusing until something is going to force their hand and make it an incredibly stupid/unsatisfying finish.

I hate the way they phrased his firing as if his music wasn’t good enough for them despite the fact he’s been with the show since the beginning. Just admit it was a cost issue.
