The song “Everything that you’ve come to expect” is quite good, IMO. I don’t like all TLSP songs but this one is worth a listening. Alex is in it so I feel the need to defend it, lol.

This movie will be worth it solely for the shitstorm of parental outrage from ratings-illiterate parents who take their kids to see it.
Jesus, seriously. He fucking ruined her life. I can’t fathom how a teenaged girl could ever recover from having this done to her. Fuck him. May he never have another peaceful moment in his pathetic life. Fuck him. Fuck. Him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck him. Fuck…
seriously. fuck this guy. all the rage.
welp this is what happens when we collectively obsess over the sexuality of barely-pubescent girls. Fuck this guy in particular, but fuck the culture that encourages his fucked-uped-ness.
Having suffered years of sexual abuse from my own father and being too afraid to tell anyone, the fact that this young woman had the strength to tell a trusted adult speaks VOLUMES about her. I wish I could hug her and tell her how brave she is.
I really liked this one by Susan Sizemore: http://www.amazon.com/Wings-Storm-Me…
Emily the Magnificent took two pretty pictures this week. I am posting both for the benefit of anyone who wants a kitty fix.
I haven’t been able to sleep since I got up at 7:00 yesterday. I am binge watching The Good Wife, but I want a pizza to be brought to me, and all the deliverable pizzas are 25 bucks.
Why…
I am livid reading this. LIVID. BabyStu is 2 and even with the pneumococcal vaccine, meningitis is one of the worst fears parents have. Whenever your toddler gets really sick, it’s a panicked couple of days of trying to get them to communicate with you. Does your neck hurt? Do you think they’re moving jerkily/stiffly?…
To some people, “sorry” has the totemic power to erase an offense, and erase any grounds for feeling negatively about that offense.
I’m glad she included the bit about the dude apologizing, and that it didn’t actually make her feel better. This is a whole part of it. “Hey, sorry I sent you a dickpic/called you a slut/grabbed your tits/sent you that explicit email. I don’t know what I was thinking.” “Well, this doesn’t actually make me feel better…
Something that’s not particularly well known but I try to point out whenever possible - ‘kaffir’ is a slur. Calling them ‘makrut limes’ is also correct, and even better, not offensive.
I had a hot water heater in college and can pretty much confirm that yes, you can live off the food you cook in it. As long as you occasionally eat an orange to prevent scurvy.
Many times, in families where a loved one has a mental illness, they disappear so many times that the family becomes accustomed to them coming and going.
Isn’t that what chia seeds are supposed to do? The only thing I can suggest is to prepare the smoothies the night before, then stir in the chia seeds just before you drink it.
Usually when someone says a food is “too rich” for them I don’t say anything, because I usually like the food they are talking about. For example, I like Cadbury Creme Eggs. Lately though, I see things that make me say No Thank You.
