So do we think During was bluffing to Jonas about firing Carrie just so he could separate the two of them further and make his move on Carrie? Also, I’d have a tough time choosing between those two. Jonas is a hot ginger (hotter than Brody) and During is charming and wealthy.

Well, I enjoyed this season. Women with strong roles even after their “Hollywood expiration date”?! Yes, please! The finale was sort of a letdown after last week’s episode but it’s still one of the best shows on TV.

The only thing worse than Quinn dying (which: NOOOOOO) would be Quinn “miraculously” living. He’s miraculously survived like ten times now on this show. It’s time to let the poor fucker rest in peace. But at the same time, it means I”ll no longer watch the show, so.

I really liked this season, but hated the finale. I even found it worse than last year’s “eh” finale (which came after a similarly decent season).

I’d never eaten US chocolate before but had heard about its awfulness. So when I had the chance to nibble on a Hershey’s last time I was in the States I had to try for myself. And it was just as awful as I’d heard! Why do people stand for it? It tasted like the cheapest, crappiest imitation chocolate.

Dunno if you have seen the ultra-bizarre “merci” chocolate commercials. The song in it was clearly commissioned for the commercial which is just a series of very stock-ish clips of people doing nice stuff. I have a hard time believing that an artisanal, locally-sourced, hand-crafted, gluten-free, organic, bean-to-bar chocolate maker would misrepresent their product in this way.

Met the Mast brothers at a party. Nice enough guys, but it was a birthday party and their “present” was like, 20 bars of their own chocolate. Some of us opened a bunch and shared them....never seen so many polite “mmmm...so good” grimaces. I’m not sure that adding pepper to chocolate justifies a $12 price tag.

Gather ‘round children and listen to stories of the old days I used to take pictures with my Kodak Instamatic camera scan them and email them to boys I liked. A vast improvement from taking pictures, getting them developed (weeks later), and mailing them to boys. It was a different world.

This was what I got for Christmas in 1977. It’s a kodak instamatic. The long blue thingie on the left is tower of flashbulbs that you snapped onto the top of the camera vertically. The wrapped tampon-looking thingie in the back is 110 film. I think the whole thing together cost maybe 20 bucks.

My mom still uses hers. Her ability to get film developed is severely limiting her.

Homeland has been amazing these last two seasons. As far as I’m concerned, they really could have done without seasons 2 and 3 because they were soooo boring but I am really impressed with how it’s redeemed itself. With the exception of how they are handling this business of Quinn being gassed/found barely alive/ OMG…
