What are people doing when they have kids? I am keeping my name, but I would also like to have the same last name as our kids. He is totally down with me keeping my name and is keeping his, but he would like to have the same last name as our kids.

In my experience there is a lot of overlap between people who hit their kids and people who seem to think of their children as property. My psychotic mother in law used exactly that word to explain to my husband why it was fine that she “disciplined” him physically.
