Doubtful. The manual in the G8 was pay-walled behind the top-level GXP trim and I haven’t seen one of those under 20K last time I looked.  Reliability should be solid:  it’s an LS/T56 drivetrain with decent aftermarket support for the rest.

Aristo yes, Soarer no: the Soarer has the -GE, which has some differences. Personally, I haven’t done this swap but looked into it a few years back for “research” purposes until, like most GT projects I’ve thought about, it was binned as I essentially already had that particular category of car at the time, in that

Aw man, the N54 Gang is gonna stroke out over this.

Man, they got lucky. Or the software (which was repeatedly claimed to be the source of the issues) is much, much better now. IIRC, Sergio once made a comment to the effect that the (ZF-designed) nine speed was going to kill him.

I’m kinda with you on this one and might have to see if there’s a four-door V Spec.

I’ve wanted a Skyline since the first time I popped the OG Gran Turismo in my PSnothing. On the other hand, after joining the Cult, I realize the E90's already here, nice ones can be had dirt cheap, and functionally is the same damn

They’re a domesticated version of a ground-poundin’ junglefowl. Them sticks were built more solidly than, say, the average wild duck’s, before you even account for them being bred to weigh several pounds more than the average similar-sized bird.

“Do you even lift, bro?”

<pulls up pant-leg>

“My apologies, sir, right this way. . . “

Which is compounded by the fact they had well-known issues with that transmission in the Cherokee. . . well, newest Cherokee? Knowing they were using the same thing in the Rennie, and reading that people in markets that had the car before us were still having issues, cemented the choice. Driving a Compass (they gave

Weird, I have the turbo and it’s a little beast. Never saw any complaints about them, even going back the older Abarths and such. We actually got the turbo/stick combo to avoid the real problem, aka the nine-speed auto. (Well, besides preference for manual.) The only real issue I’ve had with our Rennie was a bad

I want to be excited but no. Unless there’s a ladder framed trucklet in their portfolio that they’re willing to do a one-off federalization, I’m not buying that this will be anything like the Jimny.

Look, I love my Renegade. That’s probably the high water mark for baby CUVs actually doing off-roady type things

They said IT, so I’m guessing this is what happens when you order multiple storage frames to run DARPA’s drive wiper simultaneously.

Now playing

The ‘Busa one is great but I still love the original bike review most, back in the maximum janky first season. (His GS500e)

“HrrrrrrrrrrrrnghhhTHISISNTCAR!!!!”
The “No” stickers all over the speedometer.
“Youonlygetasinglediscinthefront,whocares!?”

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep, there she is. They (Holden) didn’t have engineering resources to do both so the Camaro won out, seeing as it would be the higher volume product. Also, no pesky UAW contracts (limiting the number imported), trade agreements or fluctuating exchange rates to deal with.

Holden. . . .
It was a car of mine.
Rebadged and in the ‘States,
Made the olds all whine.
Holden peeled out with smoke and stripes. . .
When I opened up the taps
And I can still hear those pipes.
Aw talk to me so I can set
the record straight.
And I will sing their praise
Forevermore (evermore)

Gonna be some sweet sounds
Coming

No.

We made Holden work on the Zeta-derived fifth-gen, which arguably cost us a Monaro/GTO followup. That’d probably be another slap in the face.

But motorcycles are also expensive, dangerous, too powerful, not all that great for the environment, and occasionally incredibly out of touch with buyers.

I don’t see this as anything other than a Nice Price. Get a couple buckets of your favorite Rhino Liner knock-off, coat it up and drive that beast straight to IKEA because it’s high-time you found out SKORVA means “go back to the store” in Swedish.

Just chopped, bitch.

Got your latest order from Blipshift?

But yeah, I’m not sure what this car would be, beyond an appearance/mild-performance package.

The slow death of the manual has proven “enthusiast cars” are about a different experience. The top-tier number-chasers have all dumped it. The low-end econoboxes have dumped it. The manual over lives in the wierdo mid-level where people aren’t necessary chasing a ‘Ring time.
