UGH I had to discipline an intern today! I feel terrible. He missed a deadline. It’s not the end of the world, but he had plenty of time and he put the assignment off. In terms of his professional development, I felt it was important that he knew that blowing past a deadline is not acceptable.

I have a reason to celebrate! After 5 years of waiting for The Asshole to fix the divorce papers he wanted me to sign, I went ahead and filed for divorce myself, back in June. This week, the judge signed the decree after The Asshole didn’t respond to the notice he was sent.

As a black woman and a teen of the 90s, I’ve never forgotten it. I’ve never been able to look at him without thinking it. And I could give zero fucks if his black girlfriend wrote the bit for him. My white boyfriend laughs at the idea that I could ever cajole him into thinking blackface was okay.

Ted Danson has spent his life in the spotlight and has generally been an excellent and decent person. Do you really think he deserves eternal condemnation for a single, questionable decision 25 years ago?

....and apologized for it 23 years ago and never did anything like it every again? And although yes, he should have known better and it doesn’t make it right, he did it in conjunction with Goldberg (who he was dating) and her approval. It was a giant mistake all around, they both apologized and felt horrible.

Can everyone please watch The Good Place? If it gets cancelled I’m going to be so sad. Its such a great show, now go catch up on Netflix!

Does anyone listen to and enjoy Unqualified? I’ve only listened to it in the cross-over My Favorite Murder episodes, and she came off as obnoxious and said nothing of substance for almost an hour.

If Target is actually at least paying lip service to pushing off Christmas until after Thanksgiving good for them but they’re waging a lonely fight.

A hard fought gain in the War on Christmas

I was at Target this weekend and was astounded that the Halloween section was actually still mostly Halloween with a little generic “fall” thrown in and not 90% Christmas like it has been in past years by this point in the calendar. Hurrah Target! Give Thanksgiving the due it deserves. Let Halloween shine!
