They have here in Seattle. I’ve personally seen about 5 in Lake Washington.

Finally I get to plug the new show I’ve been addicted to - Animal Airport! It’s streaming on Netflix and it’s about the animals that pass through Heathrow Airport’s own ARC. I cried the other night over an episode featuring a lemur (won’t spoil the lemur’s fate, but the episode is a tearjerker). Turns out that in

Also watched this on a plane (Delta) and also cried!

I listened to a Radiolab episode about Surya and WOW. Her career in figure skating and it’s conclusion are fascinating.

This is really creepy, hope you don’t have to go back there very often!

Oh my god. This gave me my first fear tears for this round, thank you.

Any recommendations? I love stuff like that.

This situation is definitely fucked up, but just as a note to other people, unless you have seen other evidence, someone wanting to call you “daddy” during sex is not automatically evidence of them having something “dark” in their past.

I feel like there is a huge disconnect between what she’s saying, and what outlets are reporting. Like one blog or tweet says “Tinashe is blaming her lack of success on black people!” and now everyone is upholding that narrative, in the most unfair way possible.

Saw this fair counterpoint to that on Twitter:

Yeah. I’m a black woman, who definitely gets riled up over the stupid stuff celebrities do and say all the time. But this didn’t really seem to warrant that.

This is a rare feeling for me, but does he really deserve this level of vitriol? Like I get it, his tweets were incredibly naive and definitely speak to the cloud of privilege he must have lived in his entire life, but also the fact that he was disturbed by what he saw suggests to me that he has at least a shred of

A lot of black women who wear their hair braided with synthetic hair will dip it into hot water to help hold styles (eg you braid the braids, then dip it into hot water and it will come out wavy) since you can’t use direct heat on synthetic hair.

Definitely doing this! I spend about 100 bucks a week eating out and that adds up so quickly. I did buy lunch today (oops) but I’m going grocery shopping tonight.

Liike is he trying to be the new Weird Al?

I completely agree with this, I was having a hard time with figuring out why the coverage of this bothered me but there it is.

I would definitely put my mouth on that butt
