What? Ronda won the title against Tate when Strikeforce was the biggest game in the world for women’s MMA. She broke Tate’s arm when Tate was in her prime and a World Champion.

Ronda’s mom is the first American to win to take Gold at the World Judo Championships. I’m pretty sure Ronda would specialize in submissions and would be light years ahead of anyone regardless of when she started the sport.

The “women’s sports” handicap aside, Rousey IS an Olympic athlete who faced some high-end competitors before MMA. And Sara McMann was an Olympic athlete as well, and Rousey trounced her.
