Occam’s Razor is sharp and has any number of interesting things to say about the Trump team’s decision-making.

me rn.

I’m not sure how it works in federal cases, but usually in capital cases, the jury is “death-qualified,” i.e. no one would be on the jury that is fundamentally and philosophically opposed to the death penalty.

He’s a murderer, a terrorist, an unapologetic racist, and an evil piece of shit.

The man is going to live out the rest of is days on Death Row. The chances of him seeing the executioner is probably less than 50% (much less, I imagine). However, I’d rather he rot under the jail for life as a lesson to other white nationalists rather than to die as a martyr to some incredibly stupid cause.

That kind of niggling, of lefties eating their young, is, I think, what got us to this place.

Overall the speech was good and she brought it home, but I really did raise my eyebrows at her starting point: “all of us in this room, really, belong to the most vilified segment in American society right now.”

I do want it said and again and again how this has nothing to do with conventional politics. Trump isn’t just wrong or bad (or even primarily wrong or bad) because he’s a Republican. He’s bad because he’s just a shitty human being who just so happens to have hijacked politics.
