I definitely don’t agree with some of what she said, and think a lot of liberals focus too much on some kind of purity instead of the bigger picture. Like I said in another comment, though, TS’s stance on feminism isn’t just her personal views, it’s part of her brand. As the latter, I think there’s more room to

I think if your blood is too acidic, you’d be dead.

i dont read it like that at all? this was a small indie movie that made very little money compared to almost every other best picture winner, ever. it has nothing to do with the quality but the distribution and availability

The universe is off its axis when the most effective troller of Trump is the former right-of-center president of Mexico.

It wasn’t even him that read the name wrong!

He’s painting while experiencing a resurgence in public popularity. It’s a Dubyassance.

“I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy. We needed the media to hold people like me to account,” Bush said. “Power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive, and it’s important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power.”

Well, the next time I fly and get stuck beside an old woman with pointy elbows (it’s a thing that almost always happens to me), I’m gonna call the cops, I guess. Because there is no human decency anymore and I’ve always wanted to be an asshole unfettered by politeness and decorum.

there is literally no outrage or snark in this blog i love isabelle huppert and she also frightens me

I did too! Sounds kind of creepy now, but I think it helped put my middle-school angst in perspective right quick. The ones I remember were “The Cage” and the Maus series.

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else remember the Dear America series? Ive realized recently that about half of school-age mes knowledge of the Great Migration came from Color Me Dark (that book is the only reason I knew who W.E.B. Du Bois was before I got to college), and I cant be the only one whose white-wash
