X2 is excellent and X3 is hot garbage.

She’s such a great character in the first movie, but they poorly utilize her in X2 and then abandon/character assassinate her in X3. I was devastated as a kid.

FINALLY

Kelly Thompson has a strong handle on (my favorite X-Men character) Rogue. However, I’m still bummed that her powers have regressed in the last few years. Mike Carey had Rogue gain full control over her power absorption, but now she’s back to gloves and chaste interactions with her husband.
