Seriously, in what world is a 8 year old HONDA a dodgy option to hang on to? Even the guy mentions its running fine except for a few interior rattles (oh, the poor soul!). I completely get wanting to treat yourself and having something nice once you feel like you can afford things a bit better, but come on.

Having driven the Elantra GT (with the DCT granted) I have been mildly mulling an Elantra GT with a stick. 200 HP with a manual is nothing to turn your nose up at.

imo there really are no bad (5spd) accords, any year, any gen the accord was always a solid car full of charm and intuitive livable design cues

It can, but with how high that bed is you’ll need to Evel Knievel it in there. The thought of that actually makes me like this truck a tiny bit more. Not enough to give it a NP, but still. 

I admit to finding a certain level of cartoon villain interest in the commercial pickup trucks. For a 5th wheel or otherwise large trailer (big boat?) I could see the potential usefulness of one of these.
