He just paid an attorney $18,000 to tell him he was an idiot. Maybe he is trying out masochism.

I love that this news was probably dropped right now by whichever mug is currently doing his PR because we're in the midst of all this Bill Cosby and Ferguson madness, like we wouldn't fucking notice.

I'm so angry, and so upset, that I almost feel like putting down:

"The looting and arson was unnecessary, but it is not and never will be worse or more sad than police willfully shooting unarmed black people."

At least I taste good.

On the whole though, they don't. Real world findings are decidedly mixed and, in general, studies show little to no change in calorie consumption. It also accomplishes nothing if you don't couple it with education on calorie consumption because many Americans have no understanding of what those values actually mean

Totally agree. It's maybe not for everyone but I actually really like having the info and it has worked well for me.

I think this is a good thing. Calorie counts on menus do affect my choices. Example: Sorry, Starbucks, but I can no longer enjoy peppermint mocha lattes now that I know they're 500 calories for a venti.

Cary Grant, who's first wife claims that he hit her?

"I was young and boorish once myself and have turned out to be a veritable saint. I venture to say we all did and said terrible things when we were young, which is why nature protects the elderly with failing memories." -Richard Cohen

Once again, the victim gets tossed aside to focus on men and their feelings. Fantastic.

Okay, I might just be young and naive here, but one of my good friends recently went through this (married at 23, divorced at 25). I found that there is only one appropriate thing to say, which is "I'm here to support you. Let me know whenever you need me." And what followed were a lot of nights around a bottle of

It's not about 'solving' anything. It's an expression of deep, inexorable anger and sorrow that their people are being murdered in the streets and literally nothing is happening in response.

To steal an idea from idiots who use it to defend police brutality: if you push someone enough, eventually they'll snap.

Everybody with me now:

Because, by his own admission, he shot someone when he could not have reasonably been in fear for his life. He was in a car, with the door closed, and his gun on his right side. Even if Brown came over and punched him, as he claims, that does not justify the escalation to deadly force.

It's so weird. There's this thing you can do to remove some of the uncertainty and investigate the evidence ... what is it? What is it? OH YEAH. A TRIAL.

It's like George Zimmerman all over again. That's the injury? Fuck me.

The life of a professional witness. Park your shame at the door and enjoy your big check for being the worst.
