That's another thing that pisses me off about comedians who dabble in racist comedy or outright lament about being PC. In their warped minds they think not being a racist is somehow the status quo, and they're just being so edgy. There's nothing edgy about being a racist comedian in a country like the US.

Somehow I suspect Aboriginal Australians would disagree with any assessment that Australia's racial history was just peachy keen.

You should have seen the reactions of Australians all over the internet around that time. Talking about how they're not as racist as Americans are because they never had a history with black slavery or minstrel shows, and that this was just another example of how culturally insular Americans were.

I'm going to guess they were white Australians. Let's not excuse Australia's problematic history with race any more than we excuse America's.
