Perpetual single here - if this is a real story, what exactly does this relationship bring that would make you put up with even 10% of this?
You mean Reading ESPN pieces is tragedy AT FIRST, then farce.
Must depend where you’re from - i’m from rural Ontario and i know i say ‘eh’ all the time.
It sometimes beats professional football—which is insane—and the only show that beats it is CBS’s interminable hit procedural NCIS.
Greetings and salutations, my friends! I’m back, and I couldn’t be more delighted to be back. I have a lot to catch…
Ugh...I don’t think this is going to end well...
On a side note: why do you always quote the Guardian for this story? The CBC/Globe&Mail/T.Star not provide enough on-the-ground coverage for you?
Piracy is insecure and unnecessarily risky? I’m shocked.
Nobody missed the point, because you haven’t presented any salient points other than a general nihilism about Hollywood and how movies get made.
Totally-And I agree that this article leaned towards hitting at Reynolds and that’s a bit of a “throwing the baby out with the bath water” situation. He happens to be a white male in a system that leans heavily towards white males. That isn’t his fault, and of course he should get to work. I’m sure this movie will be…
Go watch him in The Voices. Trust me, you won’t get him confused after that. He’s the one with the twisted sense of humor.
Why write? Because he is HUGE now. And any positive or negative article with him in it is getting clicks. I clicked. So, did you.
Yeah, the argument would have probably been more effective if it was a little clearer that the Washington Post piece should be both questioned and made fun of rather than the actor himself. I think the thesis became clear at the end, but it took a bit to get there and that seemed to confuse people who like Reynolds…
Why do I feel like you’d love Ryan Reynolds and Deadpool if he were a PoC?
I’m rooting for it because I want studios to see R rated superhero hero movies as viable. A lot of amazing comic books/graphic novels/fantasy work that needs to be made needs to be R in order to be made properly. Stop making everything pg-13, yay mature content!
this whole post seem like a joke and movie promo
While I agree with you, the execution of that point was completely muddled. This article was 90% shitting on Reynolds and 10% making a great and vital point. It should have been the reverse.
I think it just might be the role he was born to play.
he’s totally embraced the ludicrousness of Deadpool. It’s joyous nerdery, fueled and embraced by fans.
This season on American Idol, watch one couple’s marriage implode.
