Alien: Earth

Make it 2019 again using science or magic.

Kinda Britta’d that one, if you ask me.

The current potential line-up (which ostensibly includes Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Sam Wilson’s Captain America, Shang-Chi, and Shuri’s Black Panther) is not a particularly inspiring one.

the result is that every era of the timeline now kind of looks the same and can’t be easily reconciled with the original movies.

In this show, it is a *century* before that - but it “looks” entirely the same as the OT. The tech, the ships, the wall-designs, the props, the costumes and outfits

Solo is a good juxtaposition. Take away all the stupid callbacks (gold dice! how did Solo get his name!) and it’s a terrific adventure movie. It’s more Indiana Jones than the last 2 Indiana Jones flicks. The execution of the action scenes, from the American Graffiti-style car chase to Han Solo shooting Tobias Beckett

They’re ordinary gun safety rules outside of a film set. Outside of a film set, there is no professional armorer or assistant director to check the gun to make sure it’s clear to point at another human. On a film set, responsibility is transferred to those particular crew members.

So in this scenario, the armorer is responsible for ensuring the gun is clear; the AD is responsible for inspecting the chamber and announcing, “Cold gun!” to the crew, and then the performer has a final responsibility to *checks notes* shoot themselves in the foot? I mean, I guess that would discourage the use of

The armorer isn't solely responsible, the assistant director also has a role to play in the procedure. He also failed, but in this case he testified against the armorer. Because they had legal responsibility, not the actor. That's a fact. Baldwin should never have been charged, it was a joke from the start.

“If he wants to pretend use a pretend gun.”

It’s a good thing to have the actors check the firearms they’re using, provided they’ve had the training.

There’s more conjecture in this post than in the company name of Pete White and Billy Quizboy’s tech company.

Say what you will about how diet and fitness have evolved over time, but Richard Simmons was the rare gem that actually gave a crap about actually helping folks get healthy and happy. Sweatin to the Oldies and all his videos/ specials were filled with real people who were there to get active in whatever way they could

He's guarding the grounds of stately Burns Manor in robot heaven now.

If only she had introduced the evidence on the third day and not the second day for no reason!

How many times do you have to be told that it’s against union rules for an actor to tamper with or open a gun on a movie set? Because you REALLY don’t want to have that nightmare, especially on a Western set where dozens of actors will be handling weapons.

That’s why they have armorers on the set in the first place -

They grilled Seth Kenney today because the suppressed evidence points to him as the one who supplied the live rounds mixed with the dummies. His employee admitted throwing rounds into the trash on set after the shooting after calling him, which is crazy.

Character development doesn’t have to have direct forward momentum. It also doesn’t always necessitate a dramatic personality change; that’s a high school English class definition of character development.

He'll never watch his life slide out of view
