I initially thought “culturally oriented” was just meaningless nonsense, but apparently it is used in certain contexts to express a real thing. It does sound like a totally outrageous paradigm here though.

I drove 10 hours to see the last one at its maximum back in 2017 and it was absolutely worth the trip for the few minutes of weird twilight and glowing rings. I highly recommend anyone within a day’s travel distance to make the trip if they can. One of the most spectacular cosmic events available to most Earthlings.

Honestly, I think a lot of people don’t realize how much they subconsciously move to control their momentum. I don’t know the specifics of this slide, but in my youth I spent a lot of time in a local water park where I absolutely could have shifted my weight in such a way to get my body flying over the sides of some

I think there’s some market for it, especially for shows that either sell out and/or are extremely expensive to see in person. A $25 ticket to see a concert on a very big screen with professional audio has to be at least a decent facsimile of a $1000 live performance.

Bullseye!

Sounds like a NYTimes Pitchbot story: “Nothing awful happened in the world yesterday. Here’s why that’s bad news for the middle class”

Are there any studies specifically on how the body might gradually eliminate microplastics over time? Someone should jump on (have jumped on? I’m not sure) that group of people shutting themselves away for a year to test for Mars Madness to see if their plastic levels drop in the intervening period. Presuming that

4 is typically plastic grocery bags, so it’s probably not seeing a lot of microwave action. I forgot what 3 commonly is, but I almost never see it.

I wish I lived in the universe where Rocko’s Modern Life got this treatment instead.

mis-en-scene

I wouldn’t mind seeing Dafne Keen as X-23 again, and have the movies otherwise entirely ignore Logan.

Thanks. I hate notifications and have them turned off of almost everything, so the idea of the average youth getting thousands a day was a right horror.

I assumed this was like a Goodreads for movies. Is it comparable to IMDB in that it contains info like cast and crew, box office, and other details? IMDB itself doesn’t have half the information it used to after it was swallowed by Amazon (at least not for free), and I would love to stop using it whenever I’m trying

Probably for the best if it has. Trolls accounted for a good third of the comments, and like Jezebel, the staff rarely or never seemed to ungrey new commenters, which meant there were hardly enough posts to even feed poor Samhain and the helicopter joke. It was also probably the worst off after the most recent GMO

“Leave text fields blank if not needed” really stings. The only thing better would be if the third one got cut off by the Breaking News line.

It’s simple tactics, dude. Aliens want to control the galaxy, and they need to take over the Earth to establish a base close enough to attack Alpha Centauri.

I wonder if Harmon has learned not to write himself into unwitting contracts with the public dictating his own output, something he’s basically done twice now. If Krapopolis has a line somewhere about three stage plays and a rock opera, we’ll have to assume he just has one of those magic typewriters that manifests

If it’s supposed to be Pangaea 2.0, why isn’t it Pangaea Beta? What about ~900m years from now after everything has bounced away and back again?
