I guess, due to the iPhone not having dual-sim, you could be correct on this front. However I thought this trend died with the BlackBerry(RIP).
I did this a while back on a USB 2.0 Flash drive. The harddrive in my computer literally gave out and all I had were the recovery disks and a 16gb flash drive. the install worked, however it was slow, almost unusable, in addition to using most of the flashdrives read/write cycles.

I do whitelist my favorite sites from these extensions, such as kinja/gizmodo/lifehacker etc, however most of the web is blocked for me. Only sites that I care about, These tools also are great anti-virus/anti malware tools if setup correctly
Holy Cow, I have been browsing for Adblock and various ad/tracking blocker scripts for so long, when I shut them off just to see what "normal person internet" looked like, and long story short and I am never going back.
