Ugh. You sure do attract the misfortune, my internet friend. I hope they both can have happy lives, and I am sure you are a great Dad to help them with that.

I'm guessing you had to walk uphill both ways in the snow to get to school too

Man, farts are funny. I have seen this video a bunch of times and it still brightens my day every time.

Yep, as a pizza deliverer, a frequent question is if I’ve seen anybody naked.  The answer is yes.  99% of the time, it’s someone I’d rather gouge out my eyeballs than see naked.

Buy used and save money.

And Dear God - that video!

If you’ve traveled internationally, you’re definitely too late. CBP requires a photo when boarding an international flight (the reason is to match up with photos of those who entered the country to know they’re leaving), and many countries are now using facial recognition at passport control (in some cases, you don’t

Either dome lights were a lot brighter back in the day, or window glass is treated differently now, I remember when the reflection off the screen used to be like a lighthouse blasting back into your eyes. Of course the real reason mom and dad wanted the light off is as real today as it was then, they want the darkness

TSA is very good at their actual job, which is make Congress feel like SOMETHING IS BEING DONE about airport “security”. Never mind that 9/11 was in no way, shape, or form a failure of *airport* security.

And that’s not even taking agency territorialism into account.  They don’t always like playing with one another

“Hell no, they won’t even be able to get their printer online.”

Hey Ford: The reason no one is buying small, affordable EVs is because no one is making small, affordable EVs. You were so on the right track, but you lost faith.

Jim Dolan, the dirtbag who owns Madison Square Garden, has facial recognition constantly on at the venue, and uses it to ID lawyers employed by lawfirms engaged in the numerous lawsuits against him, and has them removed from the property. Just in case you needed another dystopian data point.

TSA is a waste of finite resources.

Does opting in, with your picture on file, help you go through security faster the next time?  If the answer is no, then it’s of no benefit to me.

I’m sure it will be here before we know it, but we don’t need to make TSA even worse by suddenly having random people get arrested because the database says they look like someone else who may have committed a crime.

Find a International Harvester Metro van, paint a goofy logo on the side and you’re bound for greatness!

A potential solution for that is to go somewhere that remote work is all but impossible because it lacks robust internet access. Caribbean islands and rural locations are examples.

The concern was more with them being on the ocean floor for extended periods of time, being able to service/unfasten after that, as well as hydrogen embrittlement.
