Thank goodness. I don’t think the world could handle two of them.

I don’t see Latino. For starters, it has the wrong steering wheel.

Elder Abuse.

I know the owner!

Hopefully it isn’t that she has some form of battered spouse thing going where there is abuse (physical, verbal, or mental) that has lead to her being unable to abandon him, even if it seems clear from the outside that he should be out of her life.

I hope you get the help and support you need and that you can find a bit of happiness in the world as you work through this.

I don’t have any concerns for a couple reasons:

The first car I had that had outside temperature read pretty close for about 5 minutes, they it would read 122 deg F regardless if it was -10 or 100 deg F. Looking it up, they had the probe under the hood near the cowl and the airflow from the engine blew across it.

That’s the local junior high.  I suspect the temperature probe is in the parking lot sitting on the pavement.  Because it’s pretty close at 5 AM, but WAY OFF around 5 PM.

It’s not so easy.

There is no “accurate” measurement. It’s just a matter of how inaccurate it is. And getting from pretty far off to reasonably close isn’t expensive, but the closer you get to exact, the higher the price.

Then there’s also the RTD. Which are unlikely to be used in automotive applications. All you need to know about why is the that almost all of them I’ve see are “100 ohm platinum RTD” They aren’t expensive for a test lab point of view, but for a car company, where they stretch every penny until it is about 3 feet long,

My practical side. Damn what a waste of energy to generate Artificial Stupidity, when we have an abundance of naturally occurring stupidity.

I find that women, in general, tend to be more “fix it and forget it” when it comes to cars:

Yeah, the Cougars went down hill fast. They moved to twins of the Thunderbird, which really wasn’t great.

There is a Price that anyone will end up with a Fisker. For me, it’s $25k.

I find that in my limited scope of friends that women are more likely to be clinging to ICE than men.

Same. My drug addict neighbor died 3 years ago and his house has finally gotten past probate. The inside hasn’t been painted since 1986 and the dude was a 3 pack a day guy and it still has the original carpets. It’s on the market for twice what I got my house for before Covid and there is a line of cars parked all
