You know what really should be a crime this woman is charged with?

Hey Cicadas! Say hello to my little friend.

Years ago, we had a bad rain storm and a sudden drop in temperature.

I wear my belt regardless, but I will admit that if you are a wide body, then the belly overlap over the buckle does lead to some discomfort over time. When I unbuckle the belt to get up and go to the bathroom or whatever, the lack of a hard object stuck between my upper belly and my leg or lower belly is noticeable

My sister in law worked as an ER nurse about 30 years ago. Helmetless riders were nicknamed “donorcyclists” because most were young, in good shape and had excellent organs. (First responders end up with a dark sense of humor to deal with what they see)

Completely agree. However, I doubt a landscape rock in a parking lot is a threat to your vehicle.

Yeah, I’m thinking the only way someone can afford the payments on a new top of the line off-road edition vehicle is likely a lease. Which could be spelled with a H (leasH) when it comes to going off-roading and still having the ability to turn it in 3 years later.

I didn’t say stop, I said flip them.

I’m not saying that nobody will off-road with a new vehicle.  But it seems like it is more likely to be people that are either purchasing them out right (and not leasing) and have purchased them as a off-road vehicle and not as a fashion statement.   So.. pretty rare.

Rookie mistake. It takes a rare person to get a new vehicle and go off-roading for real with them. Instead, they will use it to go to the mall and sell it in 3-5 years to someone that might actually not cry if it gets dirty.

I think there is an upside to this. As I replied to another commentor, my entire 30 years career has been in the world of fear of being fired constantly. There always seems to be at least one manager that will fire people for stupid stuff like not wearing the correct shirt or the like at every company.

Now playing

That’s been all of my 30+ years in my career. Every company has a “Queen of Hearts” in the C-Suite.

It really shouldn’t be hard to flip a Land Cruiser in today’s world.

I’d say FIFY, but I don’t think it’s fixable.

I’m not sure you needed to add the “unfortunately” to that sentence.  Owning a vehicle that Rednecks like isn’t something high on my priority list.

You are talking about trying to hit a guy that has been provoking others to take a swing at him for decades and has race car reflexes.

Yep, that’s a telegraphed right hook.

Thing is that they still can be fun. There are vehicles out there that have no fun to them at all. In general, I would rather a Float boat from the 70s than an economy car with a sport package from the same manufacturer from the 90s.

Yes, there is a reason why they don’t make float boats anymore. They are single trick ponies. On a big open road, it’s hard to beat, but not uncommon to match with a modern car that can do so many more things well. There’s a reason why nobody makes Float Boats any more. However, they have grown into stuff like

Don’t knock a float boat until you try it. Yeah, on a back road, they are horrific. But not as bad as you think. Sure you can’t go fast at all. Heck an RV might be crawling up your rear while your tires are screaming for mercy. But the overboosted power steering and big torque make the experience doable, just not fun.
