That's a fair point, and I think your advance review did a good job of balancing "this is how I feel about the show…" with "…but I can't say this with as much certainty as I usually do for other shows."

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure seems like it's alot of fun, and The World is Still Beautiful is one I need to catch up on because I watched the first episode and liked it quite a bit (especially the main character). I'll have to check out some of the others you mentioned too.

I probably should've specified that I'm not that much of an anime expert because I stopped watching for many years, but decided to get back into it a few months ago and have been playing catch-up on notable things I missed (such as Madoka Magica, which I'm in the middle of right now).

I just read last week's TV Roundtable on Sailor Moon and was upset that I missed out on the excellent anime discussions in the comments. We should talk about anime more, guys!

The hand-wringing over only getting the pilot is a bit much. I listened to the Firewall & Iceberg podcast where they reviewed this show and they made it seem like they literally couldn't tell us what to think about it because they didn't get more episodes. You got one episode! You review single episodes all the

Kerry Bishe truly is wonderful. I watched two lame Ed Burns movies just because she was in them.

When I first burned through Buffy, I stayed away from anything on the internet about it, but when I was finished it I was shocked to learn that people hated some things I loved ("Doublemeat Palace" is brilliant, people!)

Excellent point about Karma and Amy's friendship involving lots of negotiation. You've really pinpointed why I find their relationship so real. They're different people whose needs and wants don't always line up, but they navigate those differences together, as true friends would.

I really wasn't into the pilot but the show has thoroughly won me over in the last few weeks. There are still a few things at the fringes of the show that I don't enjoy, but I think the central relationship between Karma and Amy is well-written and nuanced. This show is filling the role that Awkward did before it

Praising Sonia?! You've truly completed your season arc.

NOT ALL BEEMAS

I agree about Game of Thrones not bringing it this year. There was a discussion of GoT in the comments of the Hannibal season 2 review and I mentioned that I've barely enjoyed anything that doesn't take place in King's Landing this year. But it's a popular show, and people were pretty jazzed about "The Lion and the

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Doctor Who. That one's definitely got a shot too.

Because I have too much time on my hands right now, I figured it would be fun to see how all the episodes were initially reviewed (the reviewer is in brackets). The episodes that are already in the tournament because the writers chose them earlier in the week are italicized. And if there were two reviewers on an

Looking at this list just makes me sad that only two of them are going to make it to the tournament.

I've barely enjoyed anything that doesn't take place in King's Landing this year on Game of Thrones.

The list goes like this:

Mad Men - "The Strategy," Fargo - "Buridan's Ass," Louie - "Elevator Part 2 and 3," that incredible seance scene in Penny Dreadful, and apparently the Hannibal finale.

More importantly, what's with thinking Django Unchained is much better than Inglorious Basterds?! The latter is Tarantino's best film and we'd all see that if we just searched our hearts a little bit!
