Antoniooo from the future here. I'm rewatching Bunheads because I miss it so much and I just watched this episode and enjoyed it quite a bit (though I still didn't love all the pratfalling and flopping about). Then I come here to read the review and see that I left a vitriolic comment that I don't remember at all.

Yikes, I'm glad I missed out on most of that (it probably helps that I'm not really on twitter either — I hear twitter was particularly awful in terms of hyping up the Red Wedding). I did kind of have that experience with "Blackwater" though. I kept hearing people talk it up and then when the show finally got to it,…

This is why I stopped reading the newbies comments way back in season 1.
No, Bunheads.
A.
Our two favorite performances are the same, though I'd give Blanchett the slight edge. Also, nice Thor mention. It didn't get a ton of love, but it's great fun. I know alot of people who prefer the first one, which is just baffling to me.
I can see how it would seem like a "pretentious arthouse film," but it's actually quite simple, goofy, and lovely.
Yeah, we need a strong black woman like Tasha Robinson back!!!!
I haven't seen Inside Llewyn Davis, Nebraska, American Hustle, Wolf of Wall Street, Her, or The Act of Killing because they aren't out/never came out to a theater near me. And I really regret not seeing Enough Said, because I probably would've loved it.
I feel like even people who hated Pain & Gain (I didn't enjoy it very much) can't deny the brilliance of the scene you mentioned. It made my eyes widen when I saw it in theaters.
Great scenes in general, but special props for mentioning The Conjuring. I love the moment where one of the girls looks under the bed and the entire camera flips upside down to show us her perspective.
Let's not forget "six seasons and a movie!" either.
Wow, I need to start reading it again.
You see that, Masters of Sex?!?!?

I was going to comment and say "We are the Millers was the movie, The Millers is the show" but honestly I don't even know anymore.
