I have drawn a line i the sand. I will donate and volunteer as much as I can. I don’t have a local refugee programme, but there are some in a nearby city and I’ll do what I can.

I am in Canada and I don’t know what to do. I want to help but I feel helpless. I’m surrounded by people who think the muslim ban is dandy, too.

There are reports that people with green cards and visas have also been denied entry :(

I’m in Canada, we have similar anti-immigration (Especially muslim) sentiment up here and I hope sanity prevails here.

I have a cousin who was adopted from another country and then was abused and now is living in hell because of it.

I’ve had friends on facebook posting about the defunding of planned parenthood and they ultimately have one relative or (hopefully now ex) friend who posts ‘But I read somewhere on the internets that PP doesn’t provide anything other than abortions! They don’t do prenatal care at all!’*

Last year my very white friends and I (also pasty)had Peking Duck as a new years feast at a local dim sum place. There were people of all ethnicities celebrating Chinese New year in the same way. So much delicious duck.

I want to drop-kick the people who are like “LOL, give him a chance it won’t be that bad.”

Me too. And the Bono line is like augh.

I loved DTKIC when I was a kid and now I have shaaaaame when I listen to it on the radio.

So misguided.

After having had my bread and butter in the arts for a while: yes.

True story! My BC troop had pagans and wiccans. It was badass.

I was a guide leader in BC and it was awesome. We had girls of every faith and cultural background. Religion took a back seat and we did a unit on culture (we had so much food) . We omitted God from the pledge unless the individual girls wanted to say it.

I know, right?

I’m in Canada, but I know people up here (Including family) who bemoan political correctness because it stifles their speech.

I had chicken noodle soup. And I think I’m getting the plague that’s been going around :(

I’ve been reading “An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth”. Chris Hadfield is an amazing writer. he pretty much had me sucked in at the first paragraph.

I have a massive hello kitty suitcase, but my smaller one and my carryon are boring.

I was going to say a house, but for some reason it didn’t make me feel like an adult as much as a couch did.
