S2 was the season with John Lithgow, right?

The last two seasons of HIMYM were pretty terrible, to be sure. But yes, that last episode tarnished the entire series. Because now, the series isn’t about how Ted met Stacey. It’s about how Ted is in love with Robin. The series finale was so bad it makes me never want to watch the show again.

That’s notquite true. Riker became much less bland and more charming as the series progressed. And I would hardly say that Picard was defined by his vague attraction to Dr. Crusher. What defined Picard was his sense of justice and righteousness.

What I want to know is why anyone would bother dropping nuclear warheads on rural Montana - or any part of Montana, for that matter. The largest city is barely 100,000 people, a drop in the bucket. The population of a rural county like Hope County would probably be closer to 10,000.

There was one episode in season four called “Micro” that had a lot of dick jokes. But, and I say this having recently bingewatched the whole show, at no point was the show ever 75% dick jokes. Most episodes, there isn’t even one.

I literally rewatched the entire series in order to get ready for these last eight episodes (Season 6 dropped on Netflix today and I binged). In hindsight, that probably set my expectations a little too high for this episode, and I’ll admit this wasn’t my favorite.
