I’m not suggesting he should have released the tapes before publishing the book, or immediately after. But he sounds downright hesitant to do so at all. I find that fascinating, since releasing said tapes could only serve to enhance his credibility.

My main source of concern is how evasive he was at identifying his sources or releasing the taped interviews he supposedly has. Like, he’s a journalist. That sort of thing should come naturally.
It makes me wonder, because some journalists have accused him of poor journalism in the past. So while I don’t doubt that…
Fuck no he isn’t. But if he died on the toilet, taking a shit while typing out some bullshit nonsense on Twitter, I’d be giddy for days.
This show is so warm and real. I love it!
Apparently she’s been in a number of productions, including the final season of Big Love and several years on Disney Channel. I don’t know much about her, but I’m sure she doesn’t deserve to be bullied.
Like I said, I don’t know if it’s a white savior story or not. But that’s definitely the impression that the trailers and the theatrical poster (that shows a closeup of the very white Matt Damon and no one else) gave off. I’m glad to hear that it isn’t, although it doesn’t sound much better from your description.
And…
I have no idea whether it’s a great film or not. They haven’t even finished filming it!
I think I meant to write Tunisian Arab, but yeah, you’re right. Thanks for the correction.
No, I didn’t see The Great Wall. It was panned by critics and audiences alike, and my Chinese friends didn’t think highly of it, so I decided not to waste two hours of my life.
As far as stunt artists are concerned, you’re right. It’s better to cast an experienced stuntman who is white over a Middle Eastern stuntman…
If ever there was a man who deserved to die the way Elvis died, it’s Donald Trump.
It could be both. It’s possible she was abused, and is trying to use that tragedy to generate sympathy and media attention.
Agrabah doesn’t actually exist. It’s a fictional landscape. And when did I say I had written off this movie for that I think it’s going to be terrible? You’re reading into my words.
The rest of the cast is pretty varied, at least. Nasim Pedrad is from Tehran, Naomi Scott is half-Indian, Mena Massoud is Egyptian and bad guy Marwan Kenzari is Tunisian Arab.
It doesn’t sound like this is “The Great Wall” level offensive that literally introduced a white hero to save the Chinese, but is it too much to…
I don’t blame Neeson for that. That’s squarely on Lucas.
Alex Jones can go to hell.
Except she hasn’t accused anyone of doing anything. She said she was sexually assaulted as a child. She didn’t name her accuser or suggest she was going to bring this to trial. No burden of proof is needed because no accusation has been lodged.
Ugh.
I see no reason not to believe her. Physical and sexual abuse happens far more often than it should, even with children.
If I remember correctly, they did spend some money buying a portrait. Or maybe that was Trump, and I’ve blurred the details of that traumatic election in together in my head. Trump is without honor.
Isn’t it commonplace for a twenty-year-old woman to enjoy partying? Parties were never my scene, but that behavior hardly seems to merit derision.
