One of the most brilliant bits of the GotG movies are the soundtracks. Not only are all the songs great and work well to enhance the scenes, they wrote a specific storyline to underpin how valuable that music was to Peter—the last bit of his mother and her love for him that he could still hear, over and over.

I wouldn’t care if this movie had nothing to do whatsoever with the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. I would eagerly watch this as a franchise all on its own, an epic space adventure series set against 1970's rock and pop hits.

This had better be at least as awesome as the first one, preferably more awesome. Something has to go right, in this world.
