Sakaguchi was writing the game while dealing with the death of his mother. The irreversible loss of a loved one was the whole point of the game. Fans who do not understand this are missing the whole point.

I always notice that scream but I never knew it had that name. It reminds me of that one explosion that all early 90's games used.

@pmbaustin: yes, agreed. I'm just saying that the swing was partially due to the diffuclties with Fermi and not necessarily a brand loyalty thing.

@theubersmurf: yes but like I said, the GTX 460 just having arrived should change that.

This is probably only because Nvidia's Fermi DX11 chips are only now rolling out and ATI has had their 5000 line for a while. Nvidia had lots of yield problems with the Fermi I think that number will swing back a bit now that the GTX 460 is out and selling like hotcakes.

Where's Cam Clarke? He's done about as many voices as all of these guys combined. (except maybe Nolan North)

This is pretty awesome. I remember way back in the day having to use gozilla to resume broken downloads on dial up connections. How else were you going to download that 50MB demo of Half-Life?
