I guess movies don't operate that way as much but there are plenty of "hits" that were crap movies (ID4 I'm looking at you). I disagree that promoting the most popular videogames is a good thing. If we did have a chart Farmville would be #1 and Sims would be #2 probably followed by Bejeweled.

If you look at most of the top 10 hits of any year they are crap. Your favorite songs and the songs that are still played on the radio today are usually not the most popular songs of a given year. Most popular is usually some kind of really irritating fad made popular by the stupid masses. Macarena anyone?

@Darklighter: I'm not arguing against maintaining aspect ratios. I am saying it's stupid to have so many of them.

How about hollywood picks a freaking aspect ratio and sticks with it. I think it's a lot of snobbery nonense to talk about how much better the letterbox format is than the ultra widescreen and so on.

Once again there's nothing so amazing that science can't make it sound incredibly dull.

The results of this poll make me sad. I know 3D tech isn't all the way there yet but give it another year or two and they'll have the kinks worked out.

I'm really surprised how few people gave Guerilla a chance. I thought it was a very enjoyable game and a step in the right direction for destruction.

I'm really looking forward to this one. It's one of the few games that I found myself drawn into without even noticing it. Very well made game from an obscure origin.
