@PatrickSwayze: Sci Fi has a hard time bringing me in because they fall into the cliche's a lot I think. I am glad to see scifi games that keep it to a personal level like Mass Effect. Also AVP is awesome.

Turn based random encounters need to die. They were a stand-in until videogames had real combat. We have real combat now so die turn based battles die!

@Eternalbl: I haven't seen it but surely that game lends itself more readily to be a movie than Street Fighter or Tekken.

@Kobun: Ok, Mortal Kombat may be the best game movie but that doesn't mean it's a good movie.

Why do all videogame movies suck? Why does hollywood insist on making fighting games into movies? Why are actors to busy to play a game for 5 minutes when they are about to star in the movie? Sigh...

The whole "millions of polygons" thing reminds me of the PS2 vs. Dreamcast. "We can do 80 million polygons and dreamcast can only do 4!" oh, but that's only if they are completely unshaded and with lots of other restrictions. Love that PR hype.

@dowingba: Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear, Ninja Gaiden, Star Wars Force Unleashed... the list goes on. It's not refreshing it's annoying. Modern Warfare 2 had a boss fight which was different and somewhat unique. I liked that if you could call it a boss fight.
