Likely so. Oh well. It does look gorgeous.

For sure. It’s definitely ambiguous and your suggestion is totally plausible. I’m just skittish, is all.
The trailer itself looks really lovely. Say what you will about Abrams, he knows how to craft gorgeous compositions.
Chotiner’s delivery is so dry it scrapes my eyeballs when I read across his lines. He is an alchemist who has transmuted disdain into arid deadpan.
Her outfit in that video is always how I visualized the human for of Takhisis from the Dragonlance books, to give you some idea of my age/cultural disposition.
Wow, don’t see a lot of Shakespeare’s Sister references these days. Or, maybe ever, really.

The rigidity to the concept of canon has become the bane of genre storytelling.

I gotta say, I think I prefer the buying a game model over the buying a game with a problem that you have to buy a solution to model.
It had some real cool textural stuff like Yggdrasil with the galaxies nestle din its branches, or the Norns as healers. A perfect blend of the techno-magical world of the Asgards.
I enjoy how in Ragnarok, they were referring to themselves as the God of Thunder and God of Mischief. I haven’t seen the first two recently enough t remember how often they used those titles, but I recall it being more of a hedge -”humans worshiped us as gods” kind of deflection. Same with Thor confiding with Rocket…
I would pay good money to watch a dramatic reenactment of Swine Lake.
I have not, but I certainly will on your recommendation!
These are both good points, and arguably more important than the shitty quality of their sandwiches.
So I very completely understand that delicate, precise ratio of textures necessary to turn a good candy bar into a transcendent one. For a long time my obsession was the Big Kit Kat, which had a sublime balance of wafer to chocolate. I finally gave them a rest, and the next time I tried one, they changed the recipe…
Watchamacalit was my favorite candy bar as a kid, but I haven’t seen one in years. Knowing they still exist will inspire me to pay closer attention so I may actually find one again. And in doing so, experience that singular adult feeling of, “What did I get so worked up about with this?”
I didn’t drink downtown much, so Oakland Gyro was my standard post-drinking late night food spot.
That’s interesting. You must have very different experiences than me since in my -admittedly very limited- experience, Jimmy Johns was hilariously bad. I think I went to a Firehouse once and it was fine? As far as chain sub places go, I tend to rank them solely between sufficient and bad.
I made an absolutely bitchin’ vegan mocha cake for a friend from a Martha Stewart recipe, of all places. It listed espresso powder, but I just used Nescafe instead, and it turned out great. A nice hint of coffee flavor without being overpowering.
