Yup. It basically comes down to a woman needs to know everything about the car she’s looking for to be taken as seriously as the average dude off the street/her male companion. To your last point: Younger people tend to only be able to afford one new car at a time, so that one car has to handle everything. Also, a lot of shorter people like having a higher seating position. Crossovers give you more utility, seat height, and almost the same gas mileage as a “fun” car.
