They seem to completely overlook the fact that there was an original timeline where Barry’s mom was fine and he became the Flash and he married Iris and everything was okay. This is one of the bigger annoyances to me that the bad guys can screw around with time and it doesn’t really break anything, but the good guys…

Except Barry clinched the dumbest Super hero title before screwing up the time line. So unless there was some magical IQ machine or the writing somehow got less dumb the original problem still stands. Screwing up the time line is a symptom of a larger issue.
