He was not just Hopper’s Friend, he was the first to trust 11 and help her. So much depth in a character that could have been just a throw away “angry guy in kitchen”. Plus.......anyone who is tight with Hopper, has got to be pretty bad ass.

EVERY character on things can’t be the main character. Barb’s story wasn’t fleshed out because she was a supporting character. Supporting characters exist for a reason. And often the reason we like them is BECAUSE they are minimal, because we don’t have to delve too deep into them. They can remain simple and likeable.…
