Backup on #1: based on the information she had, Barb was right. Steve spends most of the time being an asshole. He redeems himself, but Barb wasn’t wrong. That doesn’t mean she wasn’t in the thankless “no fun” role in the story, but Steve has to make some serious changes as a character before she was wrong about him.

I'm mostly confused by Jimmy Olsen being quite a bit taller and looking more muscular than Superman. It's just visually weird.

Not heels... Lifts. Which epitomizes my only complaint about the casting choice... dude’s a solid 3-4 inches shorter than Jimmy Olsen! I’ll reserve judgment on the acting and whatnot, but it’s a little jarring to see Clark Kent walking alongside Jimmy, and Jimmy towering over him.

Yeah, they completely missed the target on Jimmy.

She was FANTASTIC in ST, she’s literally a brand new actress (ST is, I believe, her only role thus far), she’s a teenager, and she def has a Squirrel Girl look. I say it would be a ridiculously good casting.

She had a boring role in the plot- nobody likes the character who’s the nay-saying, fun-killing “you know better than this” person. But I think the actress did a fine job with the role she was given, and she has a natural look to play Doreen.

Squirrel Girl is a college student. Anna Kendrick is 30. If they decided to make one now, she’d be 32-33 when it came out. Then every sequel, still getting too old to play a college kid.

Never underestimate a dwarf.

Holy crap, that Superman suit is somehow worse than Superman Returns.

Having Superman be shorter than Jimmy Olsen somehow doesn’t sit right with me.

Clark Kent is a great disguise because who would guess that Superman is that guy being totally dwarfed by Jimmy Olsen.

Weird seeing Olsen taller than Superman.
