You spend all that time talking about how great it sounds and you don’t share it with us? C’mon, man!

That’s probably pretty accurate. But maybe the 1050, or even the new 765...
This is probably sacrilege but I want to swap in the biggest Triumph engine possible in to one of these. Imagine if the 2.3L, 163 lb. ft (221 N. m) torque and 146 bhp, Rocket III engine fit...
I had a Geo Tracker in high school and through college. It was the base of the base models. Power nothing, not even a tape deck. Do I need to go on?
Hot damn, nice work! That thing is fresh enough to go on display at Barber.
I’ve had the same experience with Yamaha. Sales guy told me I’d have to apply (and be approved) for financing, and sign on the line for a test ride. And if I didn’t like the bike, they’d rip up the contract. Only an idiot or someone with wrecked credit would take a ding on their score for a freakin’ test ride. I told…
Yesssss! MORE MORE MORE of this on Jalopnik!
Just make the Si in a hatchback, damn it.
Crack Pipe all freakin’ day considering you can get a Focus SVT for about half that. And the SVT was made before the Focus’ styling went decidedly “beige” for several years. I mean, those headlights... WTF?
I, too, would love to know where this magical warehouse is in NEO.
Someone needs to swap a large-displacement motorcycle engine into one of these. The Triumph 2.3L triple would be my first thought, or their 1200cc triple.
Well, I’ve been up and down it quite a lot and I can tell you, with absolute certainly, that the passes made by that driver were exceedingly reckless. There’s a TON of motorcycle traffic on the road. Even at “low” speeds getting hit head on by even something as little as a Miata is potentially lethal. Also, the south…
You’ve obviously never been down the Dragon. There’s ~300 turns in 13 miles and maybe a dozen aren’t completely blind.
Went to school up in Northwest Ohio, land of high winds and low low temperatures in the winter. I was driving a Geo Tracker at the time and in the winter after any particularly windy and snowy day I’d have to brush snow off the seats of my car. And yes, the top was up.
I dunno... I was thinking about a new car so I ran through my banks car buying service. I clicked one button too far and for months I was getting calls, emails, and texts from local dealers wanting me to buy a car I was no longer interested in.
He estimated 50 hours of labor. So knock off ~10 for a pro to do it in a shop at an average of $90/hr... you get $3600.
Uhhh, isn’t banging your credit like that illegal? And if it’s not, why the hell not?!
I’m sure I’m being really unfair. Aside from a few weaknesses like lacking comfort and soul, it’s been a perfectly adequate car. Reliable to a fault, economical, and it does have an astonishing cargo capacity. Just... coming from the Focus SVT I drove for 10 years before it really make the Fit’s boring nature kind of…
WHAT? I COULDN’T HEAR YOU OVER THE ENGINE DRONE, WIND NOISE, AND SHITTY OEM TIRES.
The manual, sadly, is not great. The clutch master has one of those dummy delay valves that makes the car hell to drive with any kind of sporting intent. Source: I own a 2011 Sport w/5-speed and it just crushes my soul.
