This article actually makes me want to do something that I never thought I would do: re-watch the Matrix sequels. I know I'll have to brace myself for the terrible acting ("the kid" is the worst) and the "burning man" sequence, but maybe I'm ready to get past that.

I'm a generation older, and bands like Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Poison were definitely my gateway bands to like Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Slayer and all the "heavier" heavy metal bands. As a person who owns every Motörhead and Ramones album, I see no problem with this. Also, I don't think it's quite an accurate statement. I hear great variety in The Cult's music (but I'm a fan and listen to them quite a bit).
