Not so long as they have auto-play content, which of course they do.
I recommend this site a lot to friends in large part *because* the commentariat is thoughtful, clever, perverted, and hilarious. Also the puns. I can't even SEE the comments button with my adblocker on (and fuck no, I'm not turning it off permanently - I turned it off to make sure that was the cause, and I got…
The short short version is that film has to take shortcuts that aren't necessary in comic or novel form. Sometimes that comes across as 'on the nose' to people who have a deeper familiarity with the source material of an adaptation like this (it's like when my mom tells me the same story four times, I KNOW MOM SHUT…
Well, I did have a nice long thoughtful response written out (and you were quite respectful and polite, no worries on that front), but then Disqus took a shit and wiped it out, so I'll just say agree to disagree. =/
I liked it - X-24 served as a reminder of what Logan had been at times in his past (and sort of telling any viewers who are less aware of the source material why Logan feels so much guilt and self loathing - and why he says what he does to Laura in the outpost after his nightmare), and as a warning to Laura about what…
I don't think he cameos in non-MCU movies like this?
I look forward to the 2017 Snubbies over on the Avocado, then!
The X-Men have always had political overtones; this just switched it from homophobia to immigration fears. Which is a bit of a reach, imo, since they're aiming to get to Canada. The US just happens to be the landmass in between.
I was really hoping for one, too!
And the scene where Gabriella is talking to the camera, to Logan, and says 'she's not my child, but I love her. You may not love her, but she is your child.' That actress did phenomenal work with very little screentime.
The doctor eventually says something like you can't
nurture rage, but you can design it. Gabriella's video said the
children didn't want to fight, which is what forced the company to look
at other options. And, as Wolverine's tagline has pretty much always
been 'he's the best there is at what he does,' it makes…
The GOOD folks of Wisconsin didn't do any of that. It's the rest of the shitbags in this state that either voted pro-asshole or just didn't bother to show up at all.
Seems to be working okay for me as of at least 15min ago.
My brother has tremendous affection for the original series. The agreement currently is that I will go see this with him and he'll go see Logan with me. I know I'm getting the shit end of the stick on this deal (he will enjoy both, I may need alcohol to get me through this one), but I don't get to see my brother much,…
It's a korean thing. The korean character used to indicate laughter/humor (ㅋ) is a hard K sound, and when multiplied for lulz to ㅋㅋㅋ, you get kekeke.
What's the attraction of watching traditional sports on TV? Most (possibly all) of those things translate into watching someone else play video games, particularly when the people you're watching are playing at a competitive level.
He can engage with those viewpoints (and their ridiculousness) in his monologues. He doesn't have to engage with the people who promote those viewpoints, as that just gives them a stage and, as shadow said, an appearance of legitimacy.
Whenever 'balance' comes up, I remember a climate change bit (of John Oliver, maybe?) where the host brought out 99 people to oppose the 1 denier. The idea being that giving equal airtime to ideas that are not equal implies that there IS a balance, that those ideas ARE equal… when they're just not.
I suspect those are the kind of people who think 'i'm rubber, you're glue' is an effective comeback.
