I more or less did this (one meal per day) growing up, but that was more of a combination of poverty + digestive issues than any conscious choice or disorder.

Yep. Most veterinary euthanasia is basically an overdose of anesthesia.
That's how you know he's a rebel!
Honestly, if you're capable of holding down a permanent job and don't otherwise have a stable income, wait until you have that security in place before you get a pet. It makes everything easier if you're not adding the anxiety of pet-related bills to existing anxiety about yourself-related bills.
I can justify 4 pints for $10 just on the cost savings! The concrete mixers get me through some stressful parts of life.
Yeah, that sort of behavior *should* be more of a dealbreaker. That tells you a lot about the person. If they're unwilling to say something to a cousin, they're likely never going to stand up for their partner against a sibling or parent and NOBODY needs that level of bullshit.
Butterburgers. Cheese curds. Onion rings. Frozen custard (SO GOOD). And crinkle fries!
They are always super nice. The one time they forgot my fries, the guy at the counter gave me fries AND insisted I take a pint of whatever flavor I wanted of their (also delicious) frozen custard.
Upper-ish Midwest has Culver's which is also pretty greasy (and delicious) when it comes to their butterburgers.
Remaining Cat is basically a mix of chickenshit* and annoying, but after 14 years with her, I've grown fond of her anyway.
I really want some kind of a caption contest done on these over at the Avocado.
That's true, but:
A) He makes millions and you can bet a large chunk of that goes back to Scientology.
B) The only way Hollywood stops paying him millions (and therefore helping to fund Scientology and its various evils) and putting him in front of the camera is if people stop going to see his movies.
I hope you get some reprieve from that here, and on the Avocado. I know we don't always rise above our cruder behaviors on these forums, but minus the occasional run-by Breitbart troll, I'd like to think we all ultimately stand behind you (not in a human shield sort of way, either!) and that you feel some of that…
It's there. It's there in parts of this thread, further down. I've read all the back and forth with batty. That exchange from the outside is two people who are ultimately allies getting increasingly frustrated and downright angry at each other over what amounts to differing perspectives on how to have conversations…
I think it's not so much NO understanding of death, but most pets don't spend time with their human's corpse to get that death is what happened. It's more akin to abandonment for them. And yeah, they're certainly not equipped to understand a recording. That's awful for the poor dog.
And one of my cats. =/ And one of my sister's cats, two of her dogs, and a foster kitten.
I have a terribly sad video of my remaining cat crouching down to look under the bed and chairs in my room and crying over and over again because she couldn't find her buddy (who had only just lost a very long fight with renal failure). It's the most awful, plaintive sound.
And that's why I don't look anymore.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest this is more about the fragmentation of what people are willing to fight for and how that turns people who are basically on the same side and have the same general end goals against each other because if you're not fighting for exactly what I am, then you're not the right kind of…
I'm not happy about how RNG based everything is, and I kinda hate that so much is tied into dungeons (just let me level my professions by grinding mats and maybe rep like every other expac, Blizzard!), but pretty much everything else is a big step up from WoD.
