Holy shit - this is just a straight forward informative post explaining the answer to an interesting question. Well done.

I had a similar observation. The closest imperfect answer I’ve come up with is that the incessant, meritless complaining from the GOP along those lines has rendered any ability to make a critique along those lines (even meritorious ones) a non-starter.
Salon sort of touched on this awhile back:
I saw some comparison of Hillary’s speech to POTUS too. Barack Obama is a brilliant orator and has a spot in the all-time greats list. His speeches will be in history books (probably not in Texas tho), quoted and studied years from now. Hillary is a fine speaker, but she’s not on his level and that’s ok. It’s not…
Every criticism of Hillary is sexist....
But “perfectly fine” shouldn’t be how we judge someone who’s been planning this campaign for the last decade. I don’t know why we can’t address the fact that she isn’t a great public speaker. Michelle Obama is able to sound strong, sincere, and energetic in a way that I did not get from HIllary. When Nina Turner…
I hear you... I’ve been seeing all of these “FEELING ALL THE FEELINGS” posts, people crying over her nomination and such, and I don’t really feel moved by it at all. I thought maybe because I wasn’t the biggest fan of her policies, but I think it’s actually something else. I think it’s just that I never really felt…
you know it would be dumb to use an old picture of breaking news.
Ehhhh, considering she’s not at the convention yet I don’t really see this as that big of a deal. Her acceptance speech is on Thursday and that’s really her big moment.
I think traditionally the Nominee comes in on the last day and closes it out. I think it gives it the impression of more impartiality, like how you can’t campaign at the polls.
How dare you try and derail the jezebel narrative that every man is against women 100 per cent of the time?!
Seriously, what were they going to do, show Hillary on a screen looking like the Wizard of Oz, pre-curtain?
Ehhhhh, I mean all the photos are from the event they’re covering — the nomination — and Hillary Clinton wasn’t there. So kinda hard to get a photo of her. The USA Today one looks terrible.
Kaine is why you’re staying in Paris? I sort of think you just want to stay in Paris and you’re looking for an excuse.
I’m sure there are not much of calories difference between McDonalds all over the world, but have you tried McDonalds in Japan? They’re more delicious and made with fresher ingredients.
McDonald’s does not cause people to become “fat turds”. Eating in excess without proper diet and excercise however does.
Keep in mind also that MCdonald’s in Japan also has many other region specific food options that American McDonald’s don’t offer that are often more healthy options.
Also many Japanese commute via…
That’s a fucked up way of thinking. Eating anything can turn you fat, just depends how much and how often you eat it. Alternatively just get a salad or something.
This is a non story. So dumb. What she did was fine. What those around her did was fine. She was there to protest. She did. Her banner was taken and she was escorted out. Also fine. Save the outrage for the inevitable awfulness that will come. This isn’t it.
How many co-founders does Code Pink have? I’ve counted 2 dozen so far...
Plus this one:
TSA would never allow it, considering the number of movies that bomb at the box office anymore.
I’ll see myself out.
