Hey guys. I have a family member who is a very talented pencil artist. He's especially good at conceptualizing crazy monster-like creatures you'd see in video games like War Craft. I'd love to see him pursue this as a career, but I don't really know what I can do to help. Any suggestions?

Blogger is a good place to start just to see if you are disciplined enough to write regularly and attract readers. It's easy to attract visitors and requires no hosting fees. Wordpress makes it very easy to import from Blogger if/when you want to make the jump.

If you want to break their confidence, why not send them a link to the same item where it is being sold for a lower price. Often newegg, ebay, or CL in another city has it for less. I've used this technique before and sellers usually happily agree to give me a deal. Then I don't feel slimy, and I still keep my money.
