+1 to the repair manual. These guides are very handy. Even for digital folks, because a print manual is nice to have when working on a greasy car.

I never understood how USPS get away with charging insurance for lost items? To me that's like paying insurance to guarantee your food gets from the kitchen to your waiter to your table. You are only paying them for one thing: the delivery of your item. If it doesn't make it, shouldn't it be their burden?

Q. What do you do when you are out of cereal bowls and don't feel like doing the dishes?

I thought this link was appropriate considering your question and the title of this week's open thread: [blog.mrm.org] There's quite the discussion in the comments section.

You'd be surprised what a difference cleaning the gunk off and re-applying thermal grease would do.

I'm about ready to upgrade my 17" 4:3 monitor. I think I prefer one large display over a dual setup. What size monitor would you recommend? Some of them seem too big.

I think our Canon SD450 is officially lost. I haven't shopped for a good P+S camera in a few years. Can you recommend a good camera for snapping family photos?

I haven't updated my HTPC in awhile, but the Hauppauge remote that came with my card worked well. My Logitech Harmony had the Hauppauge remote in the database, and that worked even better.

Seth Godin is dead.

Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that? Hammocks! There's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, there's Hammocks-R-Us. You got Put-Your-Butt-There. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the hammock complex. You know, there's a little place called

Do you have children?

My EeePC is in a need of a new battery. Where's the best place to find a replacement? The OEM battery is AL-23901 if that makes a difference.

Foresight, self-discipline, unselfishness, confidence. I love this question and eagerly await additional responses.
