@TheFu: +1 When I do the reformat I always break the hard drive into (2) partitions: A 40-60GB windows partition and a storage partition, similar to a /home folder in Linux. I tell the user to treat that 'drive' as if it's 'My Documents'. That way when things go south in a few months, the reformatting takes about 20

@acidrain69: Consider software raid will use a portion of RAM and CPU which equals power, although very minimal. You might also evaluate using fewer sata devices :-)

@acidrain69: OK the reason I ask is because that will help us make a more qualified recommendation.

@acidrain69: Are you wanting to keep a small form factor or did you just randomly pick that board?

@Sandeep Gonsalves: Most of my winter riding days are in the teens. I usually wear a fleece base layer and a very light jacket on top to block the wind. I also wear a headband to keep my ears warm.

@Bushcrafter: I think the Symbian OS is a good introduction into the smart phone world—even though it's a struggling platform. A data plan isn't required so you could use Opera on a wi-fi network.

@nycrite: Isn't "cranberry juice" half apple? It's true pure cran

Why not just use OpenDNS? Oh wait..this not only blocks sites, but ads as well...more like a sub for AdBlock+. Is that what it does?

@kettlewhistle: Really? Nobody said golden delicious yet?

@Chispea: Colors of the leaves. Riding my bike over them, making them crunch. Crisp air.

@bobc4: I don't know if there is a random feature, but XBMC will keep track of shows that have been watched and allow you to sort accordingly. Data is scraped from theTVDB so you get thumbnails, episode titles and descriptions.

@Billy_McSkintos: I have not tried any NAS specific distros simply because I am not interested in other features.

@freedomweasel: I actually used that one for a few months and it wasn't bad. Just a little too light for my tastes. I felt like it sacrificed functionality in the process.

@Billy_McSkintos: I've been using FreeNAS for awhile, it's about as light as you can get. I'm running the OS on a CF microdrive (the kind you'd find in an mp3 player)

@theminimalist: I have an Eee and I've been happy with it. My top 3 distros for it would be: PCLinuxOS LXDE, Peppermint OS (Ubuntu-based), and Mandriva gnome edition.

@Andrew Michael: The last good one I used was GB-PVR but that was a couple years ago...not sure if they're still on the scene.

@ddmeightball: Securing a bag of crap is an exhilarating experience. Congrats!

Has anyone used Modx? [modxcms.com] As a html/css guru this looks very promising. I'm just not sure where to begin.
