When I installed FF4, I had used the previous bookmarks bar autohide tip found here on Lifehacker. It caused odd behavior with the FF4 bookmarks bar, my bookmarks would disappear. This article has fixed it and enabled me to have my bookmarks toolbar back!

You can do as bededog says or edit css too look like this:

You can remove the transition lines like bededog says or edit the lines like this:

PC #1 Mine.

Please. Make. It. Stop. :D

I like it, but some extensions use the old Tools menu item still. The Firefox button needs to contain the Tools menu item.

Menumod is working perfectly. I use an extension "FEBE" that is probably the most important extension I have. It uses the tools menu for the option to restore a backup, but that is not available anywhere else in the extension. I installed FF4 on my PC, configured/tweaked it, used FEBE to back it up, then install

Honestly, no worries :)

Here is my tweaked interface. I used tweaks from this article, and addons called "Menumod" and 'Firefox 4 UI Fixer''. Menumod states it is not compatible, but I am using it without any issues.

Thanks for the credit Whitson ;p (Not trolling, just laughing)

I am using the "Status-4-Evar" addon to do that:

Anyone able to find a tweak that can collapse the menus? The Firefox button does not contain the "Tools" menu item that many extensions use. If I could add that to the Firefox button, I would not need the menu bar, but for now I have moved the menu bar and would like to collapse it into one item that says "Menus"

Another fix: for those who miss the status bar, use the "Status-4-Evar" addon.

Not bad considering I am rated at 15/3. It's all we can get out here in the sticks.

SP1 installed on 4 machines here, but not this one. The issue was files from a Vista upgrade. CHKDSK did not find anything, SFC did not find anything. Almost a Terabyte free. Memtest x86 found nothing. The install would go on 1 hour 20 minutes, then fail with 0x8007000e.

I never condone piracy. Period. I do not want my children growing up with the mentality that it is perfectly okay to pirate if they are inconvenienced or think something should be different. I would rather my children earn what they have, and learn to use the legal and moral methods for changing the way things are.

VOTE: Seesmic Desktop 2

Vudu performs MUCH better but is a rental service, whereas Netflix is a monthly subscription. If Vudu went to an all you can eat plan, I would drop Netflix.

Within a month of the iPhone's release on Verizon, it'll be jailbroken and tethering will be free just like on WinMo.

@Keter: Opencandy does a quick exam of your system and then recommends optional software. It does not download or install anything until you opt-in. While still annoying, it does seem to be better than a bundled application.
