100% agree. I don’t know if you heard it, but b o s s m u s i c started playing when George sent it at 180mph in the wet. If you watch in slow-mo, I think George would’ve pulled it off if he’d cut it closer to Bottas. Bottas gave him room. But he chickened-out, went wide, and spun. The only mistake George made was not

Built for the Chinese market. I hope it does well there. It looks cheap, boring, and outdated. Sweet rear iPads! Since buyers of $100,000 cars and their children don’t already have their own.

I’m not sure RBR or Max make anymore more mistakes than Mercedes or Lewis. Last season was weird for RBR because Albon was utterly useless so Red Bull couldn’t do anything but clap for Max. I think it hinges mostly on how much Mercedes can improve its car during the season. If the two cars stay close in performance

You’re labeling Verstappen as “impulsive and too quick to force a move” based on one overtake attempt in the most recent race. C’mon. He’s a very mature and consistent driver.

I wouldn’t bet against Hamilton for WDC, but I would bet against Mercedes for the Constructors. Bottas will be out after this season and has little to race for at this point. I think his results will deteriorate as RBR, McLaren, and possibly Aston and Ferrari bring consistent pressure. This would mean less prize money

Your first sentence is my entire point. I understand EV cars have lower emissions ICEs. I’m a fan of EVs. What I’m scoffing at is carmakers presenting either ultra-high-performance or behemoth cars made of toxic metals and non-biodegradable plastics as “green” because they have a battery. And the media/popular opinion

Electric vehicles are barely a thing and, environmentally, they’re already a farce. “Zero emissions,” sure guys, let’s just forget the 3-4 tons of other materials that were mined, processed, and transported to build that EV Hummer that will be obsolete and scrapped in 3 years.

Same reason BMW changed course and dropped the Ultimate Driving Machine schtick. The enthusiast/infotainment-journalism/internet warrior segment is mostly too small, cheap, toxic, and unrealistic to bother with as a carmaker anymore. I’ve been guilty of this, so I’m not being hypocritical. Making the M3/M4 the

I would expect nothing less from 2010s BMW. The decade they stopped being the Ultimate Driving Machine and worked hard to be MORE like Mercedes and Audi.

Own the collectable! I keep chuckling at this

Yup. Jalopnik is paradoxically a car enthusiast site for people who hate cars. If the community at The Drive didn’t suck so badly there would be an exodus. But it really does suck that badly.

I’ve never felt anything toward the 570 series. Is blindingly fast but looks completely inert. Such a shame. The 720S on the other hand is one of my favorite modern cars.

I’d much rather have something like a BAC Mono or an actual racing car than a bloated track-only GT. I don’t get the appeal of this segment.

I guess we’ll just have to evolve too.

Alpine is pronounced Al-peen.

Would be incredible to have Ferrari competing in Hypercar.

First Zaphod’s comment, now this? What on Earth is happening to Jalopnik? We’re evolving!

Seriously. I’d vote Zaphod for President this year based on this comment alone.

It’s been a great season. A few podium surprises and exciting midpack racing. They should keep doing 1 or 2 repeat races each season.

If our party had a clue about how to control the narrative, then half the country wouldn’t think we’re Leninists hellbent on telling people what to do.
