COTD.
Agreed. It’s because despite how much he (no doubt) fucks, he gives zero fucks. All the other commentators try so hard and it shows.
I know : (
It’s about brand identity and sales. The rear visibility and semi-usable rear seats make it mostly practical, which is why they sell so damn many of them.
For a particular age range of people, myself included, the F1 will always be The Car. The best, most desirable, most awesome, most perfect car ever made in history regardless of how much faster cars in the future get.
One of my favorite cars of all time. Would buy in a heartbeat and wrap it in that funky Warsteiner/Mobil livery.
This^. Congressional Republicans are up to far more evil deeds than Trump would have the attention span to dream up during commercial breaks for Fox & Friends.
For a car named Senna, it should be more exceptional. McLaren clearly wasn’t ready as an automaker to do it justice and just wanted to cash in. I find that disappointing.
American viewers would likely appreciate richer backstories on non-American athletes. I’m sure a dirty foreigner or two overcame adversity or is on a date with destiny. And who knows, it might make their campy, stale coverage more interesting.
I can’t wait for the riveting sequel about Toyota’s heroic win at the 2018 24 Hours of LeMans... running unopposed in LMP1.
Jingoism. It’s the same reason NBC’s Olympics coverage is so insufferable. They have to manufacture a storyline in which every single American athlete is either a “hero that overcame adversity” OR “a champion with a date with destiny.”
It’s a shame we American leftists let climate change devolve into a secular religion, complete with zealots, deniers (apostates), and an inevitable Apocalypse. We should really try to change the rhetoric.
Each to their own. I much prefer the Porsche body. Zagato ditched the signature speed humps for what looks like a Cayman backend.
This isn’t apples-to-apples, but for the same money you can have a M240i with AWD (335hp, 369 lb-ft). But Subaru is targeting fanboys with this, so I’m sure they’ll sell all 500.
Porsche AND Ferrari.
The future is here. It just hasn’t been evenly distributed yet. And it’s bleak.
Strong contender for most AF Jalop AF vehicle.
If by SUV you mean body-on-frame vehicle that isn’t a pickup truck, you need to add Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Tesla, Volkswagen/Audi.
